SPRING BREAK STOP NUMBER 2 BARCELONA

I keep getting lazier and lazier now that school is starting to wind down, so I have a lot of catching up to do.

Second stop of our spring break took us to the spanish speaking country of Barcelona!

When we arrived in Barcelona and unloaded at our Hostel called "1", really confusing when you are trying to tell a cab drivers to take you to "hostel one"

The first day Ron and I go the museum Miro, I didn't know much about Miro, but a lot of his artwork was really cool!  Ron and I spent close to three hours there as Ron and I usually do when we go to museums.
Here's an example of his work

After this we made our way to the soccer stadium where Barcelona had played AC Milan the day before we got there, that would have been an awesome game to see!

Afterwards we went back to the hostel and relaxed and went clubbing that night.

The next day all of us with the exception of Ron (Ron went on a day trip of his own) went to the La Sagrada Familia

This has to be one of the coolest, most amazing building I've ever seen in my life!  I did the audio guide to learn more about Guadi and this master piece he started.  I only wish the guide could tell you more, I could have spent HOURS in there.
Guadi started working on this in 1882, it is still being built, and won't be finished until 2026
Guadi wanted the back of the church to make it look like it was melting.

After we left the church, we walked down the street until we came across this hotel.
Guadi has his artwork all over Barcelona.

Once we left the church we made our way back into town and sat in line for the Picasso museum.
Again we weren't aloud to take pictures inside, but honestly I wasn't to impressed with all of his art work.  I still think that Van Gouh is the best artist of all time!  But, it's really cool that I can say that I've seen Picasso's work!

After we left Picasso, we headed up to Guell Park, another selection that Gaudi has added to his amazing trends of work.  This park is full of theaters and buildings that Guadi has created for public use.  But if you walk up the trail and arrive at the top, you get an amazing view that captures all of Barcelona.

That night, all of us went a massive club, I can't remember the name of the club BUT it closed down at 4  am and that saved our lives.  All of us left straight from the club and headed to the airport to catch our 6 am flight for Amsterdam.  The final stop for Spring Break 2011...
